Berkshire Grey, Inc. is seeking a Director of Hardware Engineering to lead the hardware platforms behind its robotic picking systems. You will manage a 15-20 person team of electrical, mechanical and mechatronic engineers, guiding concept to production and deployment while addressing field issues.

You will partner with program management, software and product leadership to deliver scalable solutions, ensure safety and compliance, and drive improvements based on customer feedback and field data.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in multidisciplinary hardware teams.
• Track record of delivering electromechanical products at scale.
• Strong communication with executives and stakeholders.
• Experience partnering with manufacturing partners and supply chains.
• Proven ability to drive projects from concept to production and deployment.

Responsabilités

• Lead a 15-20 person hardware engineering team (managers/tech leads).
• Collaborate with program management, software and product leadership to meet customer needs.
• Travel to customer sites domestically/internationally (10-20%).
• Guide design verification, validation, and product release activities.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, CE, UL, OSHA and safety standards.
• Establish schedules, resource plans and milestones for projects.
• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain for DFM/DFA and scale-up.
