Job summary

Stars Behavioral Health Group is seeking a Director of Group Services for the Star View Adolescent Center in Torrance, CA. You will plan, develop, coordinate and supervise the Day Treatment Intensive (DTI) program, while participating in budgeting, billing, and regulatory compliance.

The role includes organizing staffing, supervising groups and services, and coordinating with Rehab Specialists, Therapists, and Aides to meet the needs of up to 60 adolescents.

Qualifications

• Active California licensure as LCSW or LMFT.
• Master's degree in social work, psychology, or MFC/MC counseling from an accredited college.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate and supervise the Day Treatment Intensive (DTI) Program.
• Participate in budgeting and billing for the department.
• Organize and supervise client community meetings and safety of DTI groups.
• Supervise DTI groups/activities by Rehab Specialists, Therapists, and Aides.
• Organize staffing and recruitment for the DTI Program to meet regulatory requirements.
• Monitor evening and weekend shifts to ensure program coverage.
• Ensure staff documentation meets regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate community DTI contacts for outings and services.

Participates in budget development and billing for the department/program and is responsible for its implementation and management. Organize and supervise client community meetings, safety of DTI groups for clients as needed and services including assessments, treatment planning and direct treatment services. Supervise the quality of the DTI groups/activities performed by Rehab Specialists, Therapists and Aides. Organize staffing and recruitment of the DTI Program to meet regulatory requirements. Directly monitor the program by routinely supporting evening and weekend shifts. Monitor the quality of staff documentation to meet regulatory requirements. Coordinates community DTI contacts for outings and services to be brought into the facility. The Director of Group Services serves as the Head of Service for the Day Treatment Intensive Program.Division & Program Overview:Population Served: A comprehensive mental health in patient residential facility for adolescents; Statewide service for up to 60 adolescents (ages 12–17) experiencing severe mental health challenges.Facility & Setting: 24/7 locked, highly secure inpatient residential campus operating with the highest standards of dignity and care since 1988.Programs: Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF), Community Treatment Facility (CTF), and an on-site Non-Public High School (SBHS).Clinical Services: Multidisciplinary mental health services, Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), and Intensive Day Treatment Program.Learn more about SBHG at: https://www.starsinc.com/stars-inc/For Additional Information:[e-mail]
