Job summary

The Yards in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Director of Golf to lead all aspects of the golf operation, including daily activities, programming, and member/guest experience. The role requires hands-on leadership, accountability, and cross-department collaboration to deliver a welcoming, high-quality golf experience.

The ideal candidate will drive programming, manage tee sheets, and develop staff while maintaining financial performance and strong guest service.

Qualifications

• Experience managing golf operations, tee sheets, pace of play, and outside services.
• Experience developing leagues, clinics, and tournaments to grow participation.
• Knowledge of budgeting, labor management, expense control, and retail merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of The Yards Golf Department.
• Provide visible leadership and build relationships with members, guests, employees, and partners.
• Oversee golf shop, tee sheet, starter functions, outside operations, and tournaments.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, develop, coach, and evaluate Golf Department employees.
• Establish expectations and accountability; maintain staffing and safety standards.
• Develop and monitor annual operating budget and golf revenue metrics.
• Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Events, Marketing for golf-related initiatives.
