Job summary

The Clubs of Stonebridge Ranch is seeking a Director of Golf Course Maintenance in McKinney, TX to lead all maintenance operations for 45 holes, including the Dye and Hills Courses. The role calls for strong leadership, budget forecasting, agronomic direction, and staff development to ensure top-tier course conditions.

Candidates should have 3–5 years as a superintendent and a 2-year Agronomy degree, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience as a Golf Course Superintendent.
• Minimum 2-year College Agronomy Degree.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements and recordkeeping as required by local, state, and federal laws.
• Team player able to foster relationships with Members, Employees, and guests.
• Bilingual (English - Spanish) communication ability preferred.

• Prepares annual budget and achieves financial goals throughout the year through proper forecasting, expense controls, and labor management.
• Provide agronomic direction to maintain the golf course at the highest quality possible at all times.
• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing all staff.
• Ensures the staff works within OSHA, Club safety, and state and federal guidelines for safe working conditions.
• Manages 2 Superintendents, multiple Assistant Superintendents and Equipment Technicians, and a large crew over 45 holes.

The Clubs of Stonebridge Ranch is 45 holes of championship golf across two distinct club experiences, featuring the 18 hole Pete Dye-designed Dye Course and the 27 hole Arthur Hills-designed Hills Course, thoughtfully reimagined through a multi-phase renovation led by Lanny Wadkins. Course 1&2 on The Hills Course has just completed a full renovation with Course 3 starting a full bunker redesign and renovation this fall. All 45 holes of greens and practice areas have been renovated to Champion G12 Bermudagrass in the last 4 years. Job Summary:

The Director of Golf Course Maintenance is responsible for successfully operating the Golf Course and Clubhouse Grounds Maintenance Departments. Programs for turf/grass, material and chemical maintenance, leading the vast team members, and asset management are critical to this role's success. High golf IQ and strong leadership skills are essential for success in this position.
