Job summary

The University of California, Irvine is recruiting a full‑time Director of GI Pathology in the School of Medicine, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The position may be at Associate or Full Professor rank in the HS Clinical or Clinical X series, depending on experience and research effort.

Responsibilities include GI/liver and pancreas pathology services, frozen sections, and teaching while supporting UCI Health laboratory needs and service on committees.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MD-PhD degree required.
• Fellowship training and extensive experience in GI pathology.
• Board certification in Anatomic Pathology required.
• Eligibility for California medical license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services in GI/liver and pancreas pathology.
• Perform frozen section on-call duties.
• Participate in departmental/hospital committees and teaching.
• Mentor junior faculty, residents and fellows.

Education
