Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director of Data Science – GenAI – Neuroscience to lead AI/GenAI initiatives within the DDSAI team. Location can be Cambridge, MA, or other US sites.

You will design and deploy AI workflows across clinical, omics and imaging data, setting technical方向 and governance while partnering with scientists to accelerate discovery. The role demands a PhD or MS with strong AI expertise, 8+ years in analytics, and demonstrated leadership in cross-functional delivery.

Qualifications

• PhD in computer science or related field or MS with significant relevant experience.
• 8+ years in pharma/biotech/healthcare analytics with technical leadership.
• Hands-on experience building agentic AI solutions, leveraging NLP/LLMs, retrieval, grounding, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Set Neuroscience AI strategy, portfolio, roadmap, and measures of value.
• Build and deploy scalable agentic AI and generative AI solutions for priority needs.
• Own delivery, investments, and outcomes for the Neuroscience AI portfolio.
• Ensure scientific rigor, evidence use, and reliable domain representation.
• Establish evaluation standards, validation, and responsible AI practices.
• Shape platform capabilities and develop reusable enterprise solutions.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain engineering and lifecycle practices.
• Collaborate with scientists to prioritize needs and drive adoption.
• Communicate technical choices, risks, and progress to senior stakeholders.
