Job summary

STEM Coding Lab in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a driven Fundraising/Business Development Director to grow diverse funding streams and craft narratives that connect donors to impact. You will partner with the CEO to design a comprehensive development strategy across corporate, foundation, and government funding, while coordinating with program teams to align bids with outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, marketing, public administration, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in fundraising, development, donor relations, or related nonprofit roles.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including crafting persuasive donor materials.
• Proven success in managing grants or corporate sponsorships, including prospect research and reporting.
• Commitment to equity and inclusion, with understanding of how access to computer science education impacts mobility.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy, donor cultivation, and annual campaigns.
• Manage grant life cycle from prospecting to reporting and compliance.
• Oversee donor stewardship, visits, events, and storytelling partnerships.
• Collaborate with CEO and teams to align fundraising with program impact.
• Generate regular donor performance and pipeline reports for decision making.
• Coordinate with Marketing and Education to integrate mission messaging into campaigns.
