Job summary

Washington Trails Association seeks a Development Director to guide a seven-person fundraising team and lead multi-year strategies to expand donor investment across individuals, foundations and corporations.

Reporting to the CEO and Board, you will drive equity-centered fundraising, partner with leadership to set priorities, and advance WTA’s mission of trails for everyone, forever. This full-time role is based in Seattle, WA.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of fundraising leadership experience and a track record of driving strategy and team performance.
• Executive-level relationship building with donors, foundations and corporations.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in fundraising practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy to grow income from individuals, foundations and corporations.
• Lead and mentor a seven-person fundraising team and collaborate with the CEO, Board and Communications Director.
• Manage donor stewardship, major gifts, annual giving and institutional funding to reach ambitious targets.
