Job summary

The District Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH) is seeking a Director, Advancement in Washington, DC to lead all fundraising and communications. The role focuses on cultivating individual donors, growing annual giving, and partnering with the CEO and executives to align strategy with DASH priorities.

The Director will manage a small team, oversee external fundraising partners, and develop data-driven dashboards. Strong nonprofit fundraising and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related fundraising and development experience.
• Proven success in major gifts, grants, and corporate sponsorships.
• Strong ability to build and steward donor relationships and multi-channel campaigns.
• Experience leading teams and managing fundraising projects and budgets.
• Knowledge of data analysis, dashboards, and fundraising reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising and communications strategy with the Executive Team.
• Oversee outsourced fundraising partners and donor engagement activities.
• Identify, cultivate, and steward individual donors and major gift prospects.
• Support donor-focused events, strategies, and annual giving programs.
• Develop dashboards, materials, and planning for board engagement.
• Coordinate fundraising with institutional giving and advocacy efforts.
