Job description

Tempo New York Times Square is currently hiring a Director of Front Office.

This role is responsible for directing and administering all Front Office operations in the hotel's ongoing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and ensure financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

As a Director of Front Office, you will oversee all Front Office operations, including guest service, registration (check-in/check-out), room inventory, service standards, product quality, cost controls, marketing initiatives, system management, budgeting, department management, policy enforcement, and meeting facilitation. You will also:

  1. Monitor and develop team performance through supervision, professional development, scheduling, counseling, evaluations, and recognition.
  2. Assess service and satisfaction trends, address issues, and implement improvements.
  3. Implement marketing and upselling techniques to maximize revenue.
  4. Ensure team members are knowledgeable about hotel offerings, policies, and local events.
  5. Analyze daily reports and data to inform decision-making.
  6. Resolve guest issues to ensure satisfaction.
  7. Recruit, interview, and train team members.
