Job summary

North Dakota Farmers Union seeks a Sr. Director of the Foundation to drive growth of education and cooperative programs, provide governance and strategic leadership, and build partnerships to sustain the foundation's mission.

The role oversees two program directors and one administrator, collaborates with the Board, and guides cross-department initiatives while expanding youth education and cooperative education programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible leadership in community engagement, fundraising, or nonprofit settings.
• Experience leading a team and working with boards, donors, and partners.
• Willing to consider candidates with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Governance support and strategic leadership to grow programs and engage youth and cooperatives.
• Develop organizational plans, budgets, goals, and evaluate outcomes with program directors.
• Build partnerships and ensure sustainability of the foundation's activities.
• Lead, coach and develop program directors and administrative staff.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure effective resource use across departments.
• Develop fundraising strategies and diversify funding from various partners.
• Report to the Board on activities, financial status, and program progress.
