Job Summary

Location: Rushford The Ridge (Willimantic, CT) & Natchaug Hospital (Mansfield Center, CT)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Food & Nutrition Services to lead operations at two behavioral health facilities, serving 120 beds, with a managed volume of $3M, 22 employees, and no retail component. This role requires leadership in hospitality, culinary excellence, and team development within a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, mentor, and support a team to deliver high-quality meals and customer service.
2. Build partnerships with hospital leadership and clinical teams to support patient-centered care.
3. Collaborate with culinary management to create nutritious, appealing, and compliant menus.
4. Manage financials, including P&L, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
6. Implement culinary programs and service initiatives tailored to behavioral health.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or related field (preferred).
2. 3-5 years of leadership experience in healthcare or behavioral health foodservice.
3. Expertise in high-volume food production and back-of-house operations.
4. Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and P&L oversight.
5. Commitment to continuous improvement, team development, and patient-focused service.
