Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or related field.
• Minimum eight years in a similar industry with public works project design experience.
• Five years in public works project design/construction and five years supervisory experience.
• PE license and CFMs certification or ability to obtain within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Flood Commission department and drive strategic goals.
• Review and approve plans for flood control facilities and drainage projects.
• Oversee budgets, grants, contracts, and capital projects related to flood control.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and intergovernmental coordination with agencies.
• Provide technical guidance on flood control engineering and risk management.
