Ladders is seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning in a complex academic environment. The role will translate financial results into clear recommendations for decision-makers and partner with finance and administrative stakeholders on strategic initiatives.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience
• 7+ years of sponsored research finance experience within complex higher education or healthcare environments
• Supervisory experience required
• Master's degree in a related field is a plus

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the annual budget process and related departmental meetings
• Build and refine the multi-year financial plan using key financial metrics
• Oversee management reporting for the CFO and school leadership
• Lead the development of monthly forecasts to identify financial risks and opportunities
• Analyze monthly and year-end financial results to evaluate key drivers and trends
• Design and present financial materials tailored to diverse audiences
• Lead or contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space. This leadership role will guide the financial planning and analysis function in a complex academic environment with meaningful visibility to senior leadership. The Director will own budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and long-range planning while helping translate financial results into clear recommendations for decision-makers. This position also partners closely with finance and administrative stakeholders to support strategic initiatives, special projects, and organizational planning. Location: Remote Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually
