Location: Myrtle Beach, SC or 100% Remote
Employment: Full-Time
We are partnering with a rapidly growing, fee-only fiduciary Registered Investment Advisory firm managing approximately $350 million in assets to identify an experienced Director of Financial Planning.
This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned CFP® professional who wants to do more than manage client relationships. Our client is seeking someone who can build, implement, and lead a standardized financial planning process across an expanding advisory team.
The firm has experienced significant organic growth, generates a substantial number of inbound prospective clients through its established marketing platform, and is positioning itself for continued expansion.
There is no prospecting, cold calling, or requirement to bring a book of business.
The Director of Financial Planning will report directly to the CEO and play a central role in shaping the firm's future.
This individual will maintain their own relationships with up to 60 affluent client households while also developing the infrastructure, processes, and advisor training programs necessary to support the firm's continued growth.
Responsibilities include:
A critical requirement for this position is previous experience building or significantly improving a financial planning process that other advisors have adopted and followed.
We are not simply looking for someone who has spent years preparing financial plans. The ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to translate their planning expertise into a repeatable, documented process that can be implemented across an advisory team.
Previous experience managing financial advisors, building onboarding programs, or helping scale a growing RIA is highly desirable.
This is an opportunity to join a successful, growing independent RIA where leadership genuinely values financial planning.
The firm has a strong inbound marketing engine, an established affluent client base, and ambitious plans for continued expansion.
Most importantly, this position offers the opportunity to build the planning department, influence how the firm delivers advice, develop future advisors, and potentially become a partner in the business.
If you're an experienced CFP® who has successfully built financial planning processes and enjoys developing other advisors, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
