Director of Financial Planning
Location: Austin, TX / Texas-based required
Schedule: Hybrid, Monday–Thursday in office, Fridays remote
Compensation: Up to $170K DOE plus Bonus
A growing wealth management and financial services platform is seeking a Director of Financial Planning to join its Advanced Planning function. This role will support independent financial advisors, RIAs, and their clients with complex financial planning needs while helping strengthen and scale the firm’s planning capabilities.
This is a high-visibility role for a senior planning professional who enjoys working directly with advisors and clients, serving as a trusted technical planning resource, and improving how planning is delivered across a broader advisor network.
This is not a traditional advisor role focused on managing your own book of business, and it is not a sales-driven position. The ideal candidate will bring strong planning credibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to partner with advisors in a consultative, practical, and client-focused way.
The right candidate will be a senior planning professional who can bring technical credibility, advisor trust, and a practical planning approach. This person should be comfortable engaging with advisors, asking the right questions, identifying planning opportunities, and helping clients understand complex planning concepts in a clear and approachable way.
This person should also be energized by the opportunity to help shape a growing Advanced Planning function, improve planning delivery, and create a stronger experience for advisors and their clients.
