Compensation:$175,000–$225,000 base + incentive; target total compensation approximately $250,000–$300,000
A rapidly growing, private equity-backed Registered Investment Advisor is seeking an experiencedEstate Planning Strategist / Advanced Wealth Strategistto join its Advanced Planning organization.
This is a highly visible opportunity for anexperienced estate-planning professional to serve as a technical resource to financial advisors and high-net-worth clients while helping shape a growing estate-planning offering. This individual will review and interpret sophisticated estate-planning documents, identify planning opportunities, collaborate with advisors and outside attorneys,and communicate complex strategies clearly to clients.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on sophisticated estate-planning matters.
- Review and interpret trusts, wills, powers of attorney and other estate-planning documents.
- Identify gaps, planning opportunities and potential inefficiencies within existing estate structures.
- Meet directly with advisors, clients and prospects to discuss estate-planning strategies.
- Collaborate with outside estate-planning attorneys and other professional advisors.
- Support advanced wealth-transfer, gift and estate-tax, business succession and related planning discussions.
- Use financial and estate-planning technology to support client analyses and presentations.
- Participate in advisor education, client seminars and internal training.
- Contribute to the continued development of the firm's estate-planning processes and strategy.
- Participate in select client meetings, advisor events and occasional travel.
Qualifications
- Approximately 10+ years of relevant estate-planning, wealth-management, financial-planning, family-office and/or trusts-and-estates experience.
- Significant experience reviewing and interpreting estate-planning documents.
- Experience advising high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients on sophisticated planning matters.
- Strong understanding of estate and wealth-transfer strategies.
- At least one of the following: JD, Tax LLM, AEP or CFP®.
- Ability to communicate complex estate and tax concepts clearly to clients and advisors.
- Strong relationship-building and executive presence.
- Experience collaborating with financial advisors, attorneys and other professional advisors.
- Willingness to travel periodically.
Experience witheMoney or comparable financial-planning softwareis strongly preferred but not required.
