Job summary

Albertus Magnus College is seeking a Director of Financial Aid to provide strategic leadership for the Office of Financial Aid, ensuring compliant, high-quality service to students. The Director will oversee staffing, budgets, packaging policies, and reporting to DOE and external bodies, reporting to the VP for Enrollment Management.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) and 5–7 years of progressively responsible higher-ed financial aid experience, with strong regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s Degree preferred).
• 5-7 years of experience in financial aid at an accredited higher education institution.
• Experience managing budgets and supervising staff.
• Experience with enrollment management is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal/state financial aid rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all financial aid office operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
• Prepare and maintain annual financial aid budgets and packaging policies.
• Coordinate reporting to DOE, CT State Grant, IPEDS, NCAA, and others.
• Respond to borrower defense cases and manage audits.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate Financial Aid staff.
• Develop and update consumer information and communications for students.
