Job summary

Corbin Advisors, a strategic investor relations and investor communications advisory firm, seeks a Director of Finance Operations in Farmington, CT. You will oversee order-to-cash, payroll, expenses, and internal controls, while partnering with senior leadership to deliver actionable financial insights and forecasts.

You will lead monthly close, budgeting, and forecasting with a focus on automation and process improvement, reporting to the SVP, Head of Operations and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or financial operations.
• Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Experience managing complete order-to-cash process including contract review, billing, and accounts receivable.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems; experience with ERP required, NetSuite preferred
• Demonstrated success leading process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Experience building dashboards and operational performance reporting tools.
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize order-to-cash cycle and cash flow.
• Strengthen internal financial controls and governance.
• Support annual tax preparation and coordinate with external advisors.
• Oversee monthly close and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation.
• Review customer contracts for pricing and terms before execution.
• Monitor project budgets, billing milestones, and status.
• Develop executive-level reporting and dashboards for decision-making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning with senior leadership.
• Develop long-term financial models for strategic planning.
