Job summary

Ascension is seeking a finance leader in Austin, TX to drive forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic cost management. The role supports hospital leadership with actionable insights and capital planning for new services and equipment.

Expected schedule is Days | Full-time. Eligible for an annual bonus incentive and a comprehensive benefits package is offered to support professional growth and wellbeing.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead strategic forecasting and financial reporting processes to ensure accurate and actionable insights for hospital leadership.
• Drive business performance improvement by analyzing key metrics and engaging with the revenue cycle to optimize financial outcomes.
• Oversee comprehensive capital management and business-case analysis for new service lines and equipment investments.
• Conduct rigorous discretionary expense reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure operational efficiency.
• Manage labor productivity and staffing analysis to align financial targets with clinical operational requirements.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Additional Preferences:

• Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive financial experience within a hospital setting.
• At least 2 years leadership/management experience.
