Job summary

European Wax Center is seeking a Director of Finance, Corporate-Owned Centers to lead FP&A for its portfolio of company-owned locations. You will advise Finance and Operations, translating data into actionable guidance to improve unit economics, labor optimization, and guest experience.

The role intersects Finance and Operations with responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, P&L reviews, KPI development, and strategic finance partnering to drive scalable growth across the center network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience in multi-unit environments.

Responsibilities

• Own budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and monthly variance analysis for corporate-owned centers.
• Lead P&L reviews, identify root causes, and drive profitability improvements.
• Develop operational KPIs linking frontline drivers to financial outcomes.
• Partner with Operations to analyze labor models, scheduling, and capacity.
• Build driver-based forecasting models with seasonality and pricing
• Prepare MBR materials and present insights to Finance & Operations leadership.
• Produce reporting, dashboards, and executive summaries highlighting trends and risks.
• Benchmark performance across centers and scale best practices.
• Collaborate on initiatives like pricing optimization and ROI improvements.
• Support financial diligence and post-acquisition performance tracking.

The Director of Finance, Corporate-Owned Centers leads Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for European Wax Center’s growing portfolio of corporate-owned centers. This role serves as a strategic advisor to Finance and Operations leadership, providing the financial insights, recommendations, and decision support needed to improve center performance, profitability, and scalable growth.

Operating at the intersection of Finance and Operations, this director leads core financial planning, performance analysis, and decision support, translating data into clear, actionable recommendations that improve unit economics, optimize labor, and enhance the guest experience.

A Day in the Life

• Own budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and monthly variance analysis across revenue, labor, and operating expenses for corporate-owned centers
• Lead P&L performance reviews across our multi-unit portfolio, identifying the root causes of performance gaps and recommending actions to improve profitability, expand margins, and drive cash flow
• Develop and maintain operational KPIs (traffic, conversion, ticket, productivity, retention), connecting frontline drivers to financial outcomes
• Serve as the primary finance partner and strategic advisor to Operations leaders to analyze and improve labor models, scheduling, and capacity utilization
• Build and maintain driver-based forecasting models incorporating seasonality, demand trends, and pricing strategies
• Prepare monthly business review (MBR) materials and present financial insights, trends, and recommended actions to Finance and Operations leadership
• Analyze center-level performance variability, identifying root causes, and recommend best practices that can be scaled across the corporate-owned center portfolio
• Produce recurring reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready summaries highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
• Lead performance benchmarking across corporate-owned centers and the broader network to identify productivity and profitability opportunities
• Partner cross-functionally to evaluate initiatives such as pricing optimization, customer acquisition ROI, and retention improvements
• Lead financial diligence, valuation support, integration planning, and post-acquisition performance tracking for acquired centers
• Establish consistent financial models, performance standards, and reporting across existing and newly acquired centers

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• MBA or other relevant advanced degree strongly preferred
• 8+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience, preferably in multi-unit, retail, hospitality, or service-based environments, including experience operating at a senior finance leadership level or supporting a significant business portfolio
• Experience analyzing P&L performance and partnering with field or operating teams
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting experience, including driver-based models
• Experience developing KPIs, dashboards, and recurring performance reporting
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial planning tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) preferred
• Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally, communicate effectively, and influence stakeholders
