Job summary

BridgePoint Associates, LLC. is recruiting a hands-on Director of Finance and Operations for an internationally focused nonprofit.

The role will own day-to-day accounting and business operations for the $6 million organization, leading the financial close, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting in partnership with an external accounting firm. Hybrid work is offered with theNH office accessible one day per week to start, and possibly remote work as the role evolves.

Qualifications

• Approximately 7+ years of nonprofit accounting and financial management experience.
• Bachelor's degree; professional certification preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Salesforce preferred; ability to learn other systems.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for accounting and operations of the organization.
• Lead monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, bookkeeping, reporting, A/R and A/P processes.
• Oversee cash flow management and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with external accounting firm for annual audit and Form 990.
• Partner with HR on payroll funding, controls, ledger recording, and reconciliation.

Hybrid - commutable to NH office one day per week (to start; ultimately remote)

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience

The Director of Finance and Operations will serve as a hands-on leader who will own the day-to-day accounting and business operations for the $6 million organization.

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the accounting and operations functions for the organization


• Lead the monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, bookkeeping, reporting, A/R, and A/P processes


• Full organizational budget oversight requiring collaboration with program directors


• Cash flow management


• Collaborate with an external accounting firm for the annual audit and preparation of the Form 990


• Manage vendors and oversee IT/business systems


• Collaborate with the Director of HR on payroll; own payroll funding, controls, ledger recording, and reconciliation


• Partner with outside counsel on organizational legal matters

Qualifications:

• Approximately 7+ years of relevant nonprofit accounting and financial management experience


• Bachelor's degree and relevant certification preferred


• Experience using QuickBooks Desktop and Salesforce preferred; ability to learn and utilize other systems


• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy


• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting


• Experience with an international grantmaking nonprofit a plus


• Ability to work in the Concord, NH office one day per week to start
