Position Title:Director of Finance (Accounting)
Department: General & Administrative, Accounting
Reports To: General Manager
Status: Full-time Year-Round, Salaried (Exempt)
Working Hours:General office hours, fluctuate with time of season, some weekend work
Salary:$85,000 - $105,000 annually

Position Summary
Oversee the daily accounting operations of the Resort which includes preparing and maintaining accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and statistics. Participates as a member of Resort’s senior leadership team.
Wisp Resort is a four-season ski, golf, and recreational destination resort. Because of the nature of the resort business, employees may be asked to perform a range of duties outside of their primary job description as the calendar, weather, operations schedule, and business levels require.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily activities of the accounting department.
- Adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct recognizing this position represents the company in the community and represents the values of the company to the employees.
- Prepare and/or review company financial statements for accuracy and clarity.
- Perform monthly balance sheet account and income statement analysis.
- Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, cash flow, and earnings based on past and present information as well as budget.
- Prepare weekly Cash-Flow statements, both short and long-term.
- Prepare and distribute to GM and managers a weekly summary of revenue and payroll by department with a comparative to previous year and budget.
- Prepare month-end and year-end reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Under the direction of the GM, participate in the preparation of the annual budget.
- Work with Resort’s outside Public Accounting firm to conduct and produce the annual financial statement audit.
- Work with the parent company (Pacific Group Resorts LLC - PGRL) office to gather and prepare information for outside agencies, banks, and others as needed.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to General Manager, PGRL CFO, PGRL President, and to Resort department Managers/Directors as coordinated by the General Manager.
- Maintain thorough working knowledge of the Resort’s information technology, including Microsoft Office, NetSuite Accounting, ADP payroll, Axess, and POS systems which includes, but is not limited to, Axess and Golf 365 Pro.
- Exhibit a thorough knowledge of the operational drivers of all Resort departments and provide analysis as needed.
- Demonstrate leadership skills within the accounting group and as a departmental Director while maintaining an atmosphere of respect, fairness, and consistency.
- Maintain a strong commitment to organizational goals, values, and guest services standards.
- Maintain a guest-centric focus and safety awareness.
Qualifications/Attributes

Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, financial studies, or business administration
- 5-10 years of hands-on accounting management experience
Language Skills
- Demonstrated mastery of English
- Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills
