Responsibilities

• Prepare the month-end financial reporting package, including variance analysis and commentary on business performance.
• Track and forecast sales, costs, discounts, deductions and gross margin for a major retail customer.
• Support borrowing base reporting and related financial schedules.
• Maintain and update fully integrated three-statement models covering the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Lead corporate budgeting and forecasting activities, partnering with departmental leaders on assumptions and financial plans.
• Develop pro formas, scenario analyses and presentations to support management decisions.
• Support fixed charge coverage ratio calculations and bank audit requests.
• Partner with sales, operations, supply chain and accounting to improve reporting accuracy and explain financial results.
• Provide guidance to finance team members and coordinate recurring deliverables.

Alliance Resource Group is partnering with an established consumer products company to identify a Contract Director of Finance for an extended interim assignment.

This opportunity combines hands-on financial reporting and customer profitability analysis with broader corporate FP&A leadership. The assignment will initially focus on monthly reporting, borrowing base support and financial analysis for a major retail account, followed by a planned transition into Director-level coverage encompassing integrated financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting.

We are seeking an experienced finance leader who enjoys working directly with the numbers, learns systems quickly and builds strong relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the month-end financial reporting package, including variance analysis and commentary on business performance.

• Consumer products, wholesale, retail or related industry experience preferred.
• Clear presentation skills and experience partnering across departments and managing people.
• Willingness to own detailed reporting work while supporting broader planning and leadership responsibilities.
