Job summary

Hubbard Broadcasting Inc. is seeking a Senior Finance Manager in Cincinnati, OH to drive month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting across multiple business units.

You will lead a team, partner with diverse departments, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements while supporting HR tasks and culture initiatives. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of finance experience in a service-based organization, including 3-4 years in a senior finance role supervising staff.
• 5+ years of experience managing month-end close processes with strong general ledger, AP, AR, and financial reporting background.
• Prior HR experience a plus.
• Demonstrated initiative, ability to manage projects from start to finish and meet deadlines; strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Experience collaborating with multiple departments to deliver information and resources.
• High initiative with integrity and a strong sense of accountability.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Sound understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
• NetSuite and ADP experience is a plus.
• Experience in an advertising or marketing agency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze revenue and expense variances for corporate reporting.

• Responsible for month-close duties for assigned business units.
• Create reports and analyze data to identify insights, efficiencies, and improvements.
• Assist with year-end audit process and monthly closing reports.
• Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Evaluate processes and plan improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage assigned team to ensure knowledge progression and cross-training.
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements and integrity of processes.
• Assist with consolidation and analysis of reports from all markets.
• Serve as strategic advisor to Senior Director, Finance.
• Handle day-to-day HR tasks for assigned units and support culture initiatives.
• Lead HR-related projects and other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze revenue and expense variances for company and corporate reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets, monthly forecasts, account reconciliations and other financial reports.
• Responsible for month close duties for assigned business units.
• Create reports and analyze financial and operational data to find insights, efficiencies and/or improvement opportunities with the business.
• Assist with year-end audit process.
• Prepare monthly closing reports and documentation.
• Complete ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
• Evaluate processes and formulate plans for improvement focused on accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage assigned team member to ensure upward progression of knowledge and responsibilities and cross-training of duties.
• Responsible for both accuracy of financial statements and integrity of financial processes.
• Assist with consolidation and analysis of financial reports from all 2060 markets
• Serve as strategic advisor to Senior Director, Finance.
• Complete day-to-day HR related tasks for assigned business units.
• Partner on the evolution and implementation of the culture strategy for assigned business units.
• Lead assigned HR related projects as assigned.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field preferred.
• 8+ years of finance experience in a service-based organization, including 3-4 years in a senior finance role directly supervising finance staff.
• 5+ years of experience managing month-end close processes, with a comprehensive accounting and finance background spanning the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting.
• Prior HR experience a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage projects from start to finish while meeting deadlines; strong leadership and decision-making abilities; solid project orientation and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience productively working with several different departments and providing information and resources to fit their needs.
• High degree of initiative with strong leadership and decision-making abilities; work with a strong sense of integrity.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• Sound understanding of GAAP.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office 365. Highly proficient in Excel.
• NetSuite and ADP experience is a significant plus.
• Experience in an advertising or marketing agency is preferred. Media experience a plus.
