CoralTree Hospitality seeks a Director of Finance to lead the financial strategy for The Stelle, one of Park City’s newest luxury hotels. The role sits on the executive team, guiding accounting, reporting, budgeting, and cash management for the resort and HOA-based ownership structures.

You will oversee year-end audits, cash flow planning, and prepare monthly reports for owners and partners, while collaborating with resort operations to improve profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Hospitality background, experience with complex properties including food & beverage finance a plus.
• Forward thinking, solution-oriented leader with previous supervisory experience required.
• Experience presenting to ownership.
• Experience with HOAs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee proper execution of the resort’s accounting practices and financial reporting.
• Coordinate monthly reporting for owners and partners and respond to questions.
• Oversee HOA/Condominium financial operations and liaise with HOA board.
• Lead year-end audit process and coordinate external auditors.
• Review cash flows and manage working capital; communicate with executives and owners.
• Organize annual budgeting for operating, capital budgets and business plans.

It has 67 luxury residential resort units with mountain or lake views and blends elegance and modern sophistication in Park City, Utah with direct access to Deer Valley Ski Resort’s new East Village. Anchored by fine dining, a full-service spa, a café, and a collection of lake and mountain recreation experiences, the Lodge serves as the hospitality centerpiece of the SkyRidge resort, featuring 469 custom homesiteswith panoramic water and mountain views, complemented by world-class golf and equestrian amenities.

As Director of Finance, you will be part of the executive leadership team at an upscale property providing exceptional guest experiences, fine dining, and world-class service. Responsibilities

• Direct and assume responsibility for proper execution of the Resort’s accounting practices, maintenance of accurate financial records, and the timely preparation of financial reports. Utilize standard reporting, as well as insightful comprehensive metrics, to drive continuous improvement for the Resort. This responsibility also includes Resort financial planning, budgeting, accounting and cash management.


• Assist in nurturing the important relationship with the Resort owners. Be responsible for supervising and coordinating reporting as required. Provide timely, concise monthly reporting for the Resort, custom reports as requested, respond quickly to questions or requests and participate in Partner and other appropriate meetings.


• Provide oversight to accounting functions required by HOA and Condominium Owners. Act as liaison between Resort financial operations and the HOA board. Ensure that legal, fiduciary, reporting and financial service requirements of unit owners are satisfied.


• Complete the year-end audit process. Review and approve all reconciliations and audit work papers. Coordinate external auditor’s visits, respond to auditor requests, approve any and all adjustments, reconcile the audit numbers to the property numbers and approve the final audit.


• Review historical and projected cash flows. Take required actions to ensure cash flow is appropriately managed. Communicate to the responsible, Property Operations executive, VP of Finance and others, including owners, as necessary.

• Supervise and participate in the preparation and review of all monthly and annual financial statements. Investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations, and involve the department managers in this process. Ensure all narratives are well written and explain why the variance occurred.


• Interpret operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the Resort, making specific recommendations that will result in cost reductions, profit improvement and benefit to the Resort overall.


• Organize and drive the annual budgeting process for the Resort. Monitor and assist in preparing the property budgets, capital budgets, development budgets and business plans. Ensure accuracy and completion of the budgets on or before the due date. Aid in the preparation and final review of the annual business plan.


• Check appropriation requests against approved budgets prior to committing funds; exercise accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed authorized levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.


• Hospitality background, experience with complex properties including food & beverage finance a plus.


• Forward thinking, solution-oriented leader with previous supervisory experience required.


• Experience and confidence presenting to ownership.


• Experience with HOAs is preferred.

Salary range: $140,000-160,000/yr. + potential of up to 30% bonus
