Job summary

Hastings Public Schools in south-central Nebraska seeks a Director of Finance to lead all financial management and accounting operations. The role reports to the Superintendent and participates as a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet, driving data-driven budgeting and compliance.

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree or higher and obtain proper Nebraska administrative certification. Competitive salary and fringe benefits are provided; open until filled.

HASTINGS PUBLIC SCHOOLS is accepting applications for the position of DIRECTOR OF FINANCE The Hastings Public School District is a state and Nebraska Continuous Improvement accredited PreK-12 public school system located in south-central Nebraska serving approximately 3,500 students. The District's diverse student population mostly lives within the city of Hastings, a community of over 25,000. The culture of the District emphasizes exceptional student learning, collaboration, and data-driven improvement. All administrators in the District must be collaborative, organized, committed to accountability for all, and focused upon the success of every student both within and outside the classroom. They must possess strong communication skills and have an ability to work well with students, parents, and staff. The Director of Finance is a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet. The Director of Finance oversees all financial management and accounting procedures for Hastings Public Schools. A competitive salary/fringe benefit package will be provided and will depend upon the successful candidate's qualifications. Only applicants with a Master's Degree or higher will be considered. Applicants must have, or be eligible for, proper administrative certification in Nebraska. Candidates with the ability to create and maintain a professional learning community culture are preferred. This position will be open until filled by action of the Board of Education.
