Job summary

Alpha School is hiring a Director of Client Relations to own the family relationship on campus, lead difficult conversations from diagnosis through a clear decision, and protect Alpha's educational model. You will partner with Guides who mentor students and drive retention, advocacy, and community depth across campus phases.

The role requires 5+ years of high-trust relationship ownership with families, strong judgment, and hands-on use of AI tools. On-site in San Francisco or San Rafael, U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years owning high-trust relationships with families or clients.
• Proven ability to manage difficult conversations and protect organizational standards.
• Experience guiding communities through decision-making and enrollment.
• Ability to work on-site with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Own the family relationship on campus and lead conversations from diagnosis to decision.
• Partner with Guides to align before and after sensitive conversations.
• Make timely calls in ambiguous situations and escalate when needed.
• Build campus traditions, parent networks, and local partnerships.
• Own growth contribution and admissions follow-through at campus phase.
