Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a Director of School Development to lead the parent-facing side in a major metro — Miami, San Francisco, or Los Angeles. You will own enrollment and advocacy, building partnerships and converting families into advocates while protecting the educational model.

With 7+ years in private/independent K-12 education or related fundraising, you’ll manage escalations and document precedents for the Associate Dean network, ensuring alignment with school leadership and community

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading high-stakes relationships in private or independent K-12 education, fundraising or major gifts, enterprise sales, client success, or private wealth management
• 2+ years working with ultra-high-net-worth families or similar high-expectation clients
• Proven ownership of enrollment, retention, advocacy, or client outcomes, including resolving sensitive situations
• Executive communication and confidence representing Alpha to skeptical parents and public stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Build a metro where Alpha families are advocates and the model is preserved
• Lead local partnerships with family offices, clubs, advisors and host events
• Run admissions end-to-end: sessions, follow-ups, and enrollment decisions
• Turn enrolled families into public champions through advocacy networks
• Resolve escalations by direct engagement and documenting precedents
• Maintain ongoing relationships with current families and report patterns to leadership
