Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• General knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, HVAC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems recommended.
• Additional certification/education regarding building codes, safety regulations, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing systems strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance within budget and ensure a safe environment for residents, employees and visitors.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance per the maintenance manual.
• Plan, prepare and control supplies, equipment, repairs and personnel budgets.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with staff, consultants and the Executive Director.
• Lead safety inspections and enforce Safety Management Program requirements.
• Assist Executive Director in hiring and training of new staff.
• Report accidents and monitor service contracts as listed in the maintenance manual.
