Job summary

QSL Management's The Blake at Kingsport is seeking an Assistant Director of Maintenance to oversee preventive maintenance programs, ensure safety standards, and maintain a welcoming environment for residents in a senior living community.

You will contribute to building and grounds upkeep, assist new residents with move-in tasks, and document maintenance records under the direction of the Director of Facility Management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
• Knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety laws.
• Experience coordinating building repairs.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Successfully follows a preventative maintenance program set forth by the Director of Facility Management, including paint-touch up, grounds and building tour readiness, lights working, gutters clear, pathways clear, trash removed.
• Manages time effectively and completes tasks within company time frames.
• Keeps building and grounds clean, immaculate and appealing to residents, guests, referral sources and prospects.
• Documents maintenance records for all systems and equipment (including fire safety, elevator inspections, HVAC, generator, etc.).
• Assists new residents and families with move-in tasks during admissions and discharges.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Director of Maintenance for The Blake at Kingsport

Primary Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Maintenance:

• Successfully follows a preventative maintenance program set forth by the Director of Facility Management, which including paint-touch up, grounds and building tour readiness, lights are working, gutters are free and clear of debris, pathways are clear, trash and debris are removed from the property.
• Practices excellent time management skills and completes tasks within company time frames.
• Ensures that building and grounds are clean, immaculate and appealing to residents, guests, referral sources and prospects.
• Provide accurate documentation as it applies to maintenance records on all systems and equipment, including but not limited to the fire sprinkler system, fire extinguishers, fire monitoring system, kitchen hood cleaning, elevator inspections, boiler permit, nurse call system, emergency back-up generator, automobile maintenance, HVAC and PTAC service.
• Assists new residents and family members with move-in tasks during admissions and discharges.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Working knowledge of OSHA compliance and laws
• Construction experience in coordinating building repairs.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
