Forgent Power in Columbus, OH is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead strategy, operations, and continuous improvement across our facilities footprint. You will ensure safe, efficient, and professional environments while supporting employees, customers, and business objectives.

The role oversees multi-site operations, vendor management, preventive maintenance, and facility expansions. Travel to sites is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of progressive facilities management experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing facilities teams and/or multi-site operations.
• Experience overseeing vendor relationships and facility service contracts.
• Strong budget management and project management capabilities.
• Demonstrated success implementing preventive maintenance programs and operational processes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel periodically to company locations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive facilities strategy aligned with company growth plans.
• Lead the day-to-day operations of all company facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environments.
• Establish facility standards, processes, and preventive maintenance programs across all locations.
• Create scalable systems and procedures that support future facility expansion.
• Develop and manage annual facilities operating budgets and capital improvement plans.
• Oversee facility operations across current and future locations.
• Partner with business leaders to assess operational facility needs as the company grows.
• Lead the planning, setup, and operational readiness of new facilities.
• Coordinate facility transitions, expansions, renovations, and infrastructure improvements.
• Manage relationships and performance of third-party service providers, including janitorial, maintenance, landscaping, food service, vending, security, and waste vendors.
• Negotiate service agreements and monitor vendor performance against standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in workplace services and employee experience.
• Oversee building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and general facility infrastructure.
• Implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to optimize uptime.
• Ensure timely resolution of facility issues while maintaining high service levels.
• Partner with EHS and operational leadership to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support emergency preparedness, business continuity, and facility security initiatives.
• Maintain required facility documentation, inspections, permits, and certifications.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, Finance, IT, and executive leadership to support business objectives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues and projects.
• Drive a customer-focused approach to supporting employees and visitors across all sites.
