Job summary

Clinical Magnet in Saint Louis, Missouri is seeking a Facilities Management Director to lead the hospital’s physical environment, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe, reliable operations across the rehabilitation facility and satellite clinics. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in healthcare facility maintenance, with supervisory experience and expertise in HVAC and building systems, are required.

CHFM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in healthcare facility maintenance within a healthcare setting.
• Minimum of five years of supervisory experience in healthcare-related facility equipment and systems operations, including expertise in chiller systems, steam boilers, hydraulic systems, building controls, electrical systems, and air handlers.
• Broad knowledge of Joint Commission standards (TJC), OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the rehabilitation hospital, satellite clinics, and all related building systems adhere to Joint Commission standards and regulatory requirements.
• Planning and leading environment of care/safety meetings; potential duties as safety officer.
• Coordinating and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programs in line with industry standards and manufacturer recommendations.
• Cultivating an inclusive work environment and culture that embraces diversity.

Key Requirements:

• Broad knowledge of TJC, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other federal, state, and local regulatory agency standards is essential.
• Membership in a state or national healthcare engineering association is preferred.
• Preferred: Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM).
• A valid driver's license is a prerequisite.
• May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts.
• May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts.

Compensation and Schedule:

• $88,000-$105,000 (based on experience)
