Job summary

Surgeons-Choice-Medical-Center is seeking a Director of Facilities to oversee hospital plant operations and lead a team. The role requires supervising staff, coordinating contractor work, and ensuring safe, compliant facilities management.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and at least five years in hospital facilities with supervisory experience. A strong mastery of regulations and project leadership will be essential.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five years’ hospital plant operations/maintenance experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Experience in maintenance record keeping and safety officer capacity.
• Experience in handling special projects while fulfilling Director of Facilities responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital facilities operations and maintenance.
• Supervise facilities staff and contractors.
• Coordinate scheduling of external contractors for hospital projects.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA/MIOSHA and building regulations.

Salary Range: $100,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

Is Looking for:

Director of Facilities- Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

$100,000-$120,000/ Year

Qualifications/Position Requirements:

• Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in plant operations/maintenance, with supervisory responsibility in a hospital setting.
  • Experience in maintenance record keeping and safety officer capacity.
  • Experience working on special projects while handling Director of Facilities Responsibilities.
• Preferred but not required
  • Vocational training in plumbing, electrical, cooling and heating is desirable.
  • Courses in hospital housekeeping or institutional management desired.
  • Must be able to take classes offered by hospital and be able to attend seminars.
• Licensure/Certification

One or more of the following is desirable:

• Certified Healthcare Facility Manager
• Certified Facility Manager
• Certified Healthcare Safety Professional
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Electrical
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must possess strong project management skills.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA/MIOSHA rules and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations and standards including ASHRAE, NFPA, AOA and/or JCAHO.
  • Familiar with the processes of scheduling of contractors.
  • Ability to interact effectively with Administration.
