Job summary

City of Hope Chicago is seeking a Director of External Communications to lead strategy, planning, and execution of all external communications initiatives. This role coordinates media relations, executive communications, social media, influencer engagement, and community outreach.

The ideal candidate will manage the monthly PR plan, align internal teams and partners, and deliver measurable results while upholding brand standards across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field; experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of all external communications initiatives for City of Hope Chicago.
• Oversee the monthly public relations plan and ensure alignment across internal teams, agency partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Maintain brand standards and City of Hope voice across media, digital, and community channels.
