Job summary

Oklahoma State University in Stillwater is seeking a Program Director of Extension Learning and Development (ELD) and a Staff Development Specialist. This 12-month 100% Extension appointment leads a new unit to deliver faculty, educator, staff, and intern professional development using virtual and face-to-face formats.

The role combines a 20 percent administrative focus with 80 percent program delivery, including online course development and conference services to support Extension initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or conferred by start date.
• Experience in county/district/area or state Extension.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate value of Extension to policymakers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to a new Extension Learning and Development unit.
• Develop onboarding, in-service training, mentoring, and leadership programs.
• Oversee online course development and conference management services.
• Coordinate with university leaders and Extension staff to set priorities and standards.
