Job summary

OSU Extension in Stillwater, Oklahoma, invites applications for the Program Director of Extension Learning and Development (ELD) and Program and Staff Development Specialist. The role leads a new unit to support Extension faculty and staff in professional growth, onboarding, in‑service training, mentoring, and leadership development through a blend of online and face‑to‑face delivery.

This 12‑month staff position carries a 100% Extension appointment with a 20% administrative component and 80%

Qualifications

Master's degree conferred on or before start date.
5+ years of Extension experience or related experience.
Ability to develop and participate in highly functioning teams.
Ability to teach effectively using distance and online technologies.
Ability to secure grant funding and build productive relationships.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to the ELD unit's programs, onboarding, in-service training, mentoring, and leadership development.
Coordinate online course development and conference management for Extension initiatives.
Supervise personnel involved in online course development, agricultural conferences, and staff development.
Collaborate with Associate Vice President, district directors, and unit leaders to set priorities and standards.
