Job summary

Target is seeking a Director of Executive Communication to lead strategic messaging for senior leaders and drive enterprise narratives. You will craft speeches, scripts, op-eds, and talking points, aligning leadership perspectives with business goals.

You will mentor teams, coordinate cross-functional reviews, and guide communication for high-stakes announcements while upholding Target’s values and standards in a hybrid work environment in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to write for leaders and broad audiences.
• Experience shaping executive narratives and enterprise initiatives.
• Strong story-telling and persuasive communication skills.
• Ability to coach and advise leaders on messaging and positioning.

Responsibilities

• Own internal and external strategic positioning and execution for LT members you support.
• Write communications conveying a leader’s point of view for broad audiences.
• Vet proactive and reactive speaking opportunities and provide counsel.
• Lead planning and workflow for Enterprise Communications and ensure quality work product.
