Job summary

Target's Enterprise Communications team in Minneapolis seeks a Director of Executive Communication to shape narratives for the executive leadership team and advance enterprise priorities.

You will write speeches, talking points, op-eds and internal messages, coach leaders, manage stakeholders, and lead your team's workflow in a high-impact, collaborative environment, with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant communications experience.
• Direct, independent support of C-level executives or elected officials.
• Deep expertise in speech writing and persuasive storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Own internal and external strategic positioning for LT members you support.
• Write communications that convey a leader’s point of view to broad audiences (speeches, scripts, op-eds, talking points).
• Lead the vetting process for speaking opportunities and provide real-time communications counsel.
