About The Role
The Director of Executive Affairs provides support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Board of Directors (BOD), and Policy Council (PC), ensuring that governance priorities are efficiently executed and aligned with the ECMHSP Strategic and Implementation Plans. This position leads the Governance Team and Raleigh Office operations while managing assigned projects and communications to support organizational effectiveness.

About The Role
The Director of Executive Affairs provides support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Board of Directors (BOD), and Policy Council (PC), ensuring that governance priorities are efficiently executed and aligned with the ECMHSP Strategic and Implementation Plans. This position leads the Governance Team and Raleigh Office operations while managing assigned projects and communications to support organizational effectiveness.
The Director facilitates communication between the CEO, internal departments, and external governance stakeholders, providing oversight of all administrative, governance, and office management functions within the Executive Department. Ensures compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), ECMHSP policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
Accepted: Bachelor’s degree in management and leadership, Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive leadership/administrative experience.
Preferred: Master’s degree in management and leadership, Organizational Leadership, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership/administrative experience.
Skills, Knowledge And Ability
Proven ability to lead teams and implement strategic initiatives. In-depth understanding of governance systems, executive operations, and project management. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and current Head Start databases and applications. Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and represent executive leadership. Knowledge of nonprofit administration, budgeting, and compliance. Culturally responsive with comprehensive knowledge of migrant and seasonal communities. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
