Job summary

Digital Promise is seeking a Project Director, Evaluation Strategy and Analytics to lead data strategies, evaluation frameworks, and performance metrics for the Powerful Learning team. This role partners with internal teams, research partners, and funders to align strategy with outcomes and ensure rigorous reporting.

The ideal candidate brings expertise in applied research, data visualization, and data strategy to elevate impact on the K-12 community. Hybrid work and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, statistics, data science, mathematics, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7–10 years of experience in strategic planning, data science, performance measurement, or evaluation frameworks.
• Experience with data warehouses, data transformation tools, and writing technical documentation.
• Exceptional project management skills with knowledge of K-12 school tech, data privacy practices, and tools like Asana and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Design theory of change and logic models mapping inputs, activities, and outputs to KPIs and ROI.
• Lead longitudinal studies and control groups to demonstrate efficacy of pilots and services.
• Serve as primary research liaison with partners to align goals and outcomes.
• Develop self-serve dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) to monitor performance and outcomes.
• Streamline data collection with SQL and survey tools (Qualtrics).
• Convert complex findings into pitch-ready metrics for stakeholders and grant proposals.
• Monitor OKRs across teams and track performance indicators.
