Job summary

The Dayton Metro Library is seeking a full-time Community Impact and Inclusion Director to join the Executive Administration team. Based at the Main Library in downtown Dayton, this role leads the newly launched Center for Community Impact and Innovation and oversees inclusion initiatives across branches.

The role reports to the Executive Director, drives equitable policies, mentors leaders, and collaborates with HR to embed inclusion in all processes.

Qualifications

• Design, implement and evaluate an equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) program.
• Demonstrate cultural awareness and foster inclusive experiences.
• Inspire trust and commitment to EDI initiatives.
• Lead and develop staff and managers on inclusion matters.
• Partner with HR to embed equity in recruitment, training and retention.

Responsibilities

• Establish goals and objectives for equity and inclusion activities.
• Hire, manage, evaluate, and schedule direct reports.
• Mentor and guide executives and staff on inclusion matters.
• Oversee the Center for Community Impact and Innovation’s strategic vision.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure services meet the community’s equity needs.
• Support committees focused on inclusion and related ERGs.
• Implement policies at the department level and participate in policy development.
