Job summary

Qualified Health is seeking a Director of Epic Forward Deployed Engineering to build and lead a pod of Epic Forward Deployed Engineers embedded at client sites. You will own end-to-end delivery of Epic integration, from workflow discovery to live production of AI-powered tools, partnering with CIO/CMIO teams.

This technical leadership role requires deep Epic experience, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to translate clinical workflows into scalable platform specs that drive outcomes

Qualifications

• 8+ years in healthcare IT, Epic implementation, or clinical informatics, with leadership experience
• Deep hands-on experience with Epic integration ecosystem: Bridges, SMART on FHIR, CDS Hooks, MyChart, In Basket/SendMessage API
• Proven track record running Epic go-lives or directing implementations
• Executive-level communication—presenting architecture decisions to CTOs and leading design sessions
• Experience managing client relationships end-to-end across large health systems
• Familiarity with FHIR R4 interoperability standards
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, clinical, or healthcare-related field

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of Epic Forward Deployed Engineers embedded at client sites
• Serve as executive technical sponsor for strategic health system clients
• Lead solution design sessions with Epic and clinical informatics teams
• Own the interface delivery roadmap and manage dependencies
• Translate client clinical workflow requirements into platform specifications
• Establish a reusable integration playbook across Epic modules
• Represent Qualified Health at governance forums and executive briefings
• Collaborate with internal Data and Product Engineering teams to align work with the core roadmap
