Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of Environmental Services to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable community.
• Coordinating environmental services tasks community-wide.
• Performing routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc.
• Performing repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical systems, and more.
• Replacing burned-out lights and performing cleaning duties as necessary.
• Maintaining heating and cooling systems in accordance with manufacturer instructions and policies.
• Supervising safety and fire prevention programs, inspecting work areas, and conducting fire drills.
• Ensuring all building systems are operational and performing preventative maintenance.
• Scheduling staff work hours, assigning duties, and managing cleaning schedules.
• Performing unscheduled maintenance tasks as needed.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless care and services.
• Creating a warm, positive, and calm environment throughout the community.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in maintenance or related fields, preferably in healthcare or residential care facilities.
• Training in environmental control practices is preferred.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and understanding of building codes and safety regulations.
• Willingness to learn and incorporate new environmental practices and laws.
