Valley Health System's The Valley Hospital-Paramus seeks a Director of Environmental Services to lead strategic and operational efforts across housekeeping, waste management, linen, and related support services, ensuring a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients and staff.

You will manage staffing, budgeting, and performance, partner with clinical and administrative leaders, drive infection prevention initiatives, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to enhance patient

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of progressive Environmental Services or related operational leadership experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience with staffing, budgets, performance management, and departmental operations.
• Experience leading environmental services operations within a hospital, healthcare system, or similarly complex regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance, infection prevention protocols, patient satisfaction initiatives, and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for environmental services.
• Ensure a safe, clean, healing environment for patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
• Oversee housekeeping, patient transport (if applicable), waste management, linen services, and related support operations.
• Drive process improvement, infection prevention initiatives, and accreditation compliance.
