Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a senior IT leader to oversee network architecture, operations, and security for campus and university-wide services. You will guide a team, set strategic priorities, and manage budgets to deliver reliable, scalable connectivity.

This role requires deep experience with large enterprise LAN/WAN environments, vendor management, and strong communication skills to partner with university leaders and end users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 5 years of relevant experience required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with large enterprise LAN/WAN environments and budgeting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides broad operational oversight and leadership for respective areas and lines of business supported by designated service teams.
• Sets strategic direction for university-wide information strategy, systems, and services, including long-range goals and objectives.
• Directs and mentors technical staff, manages budgets, and leads project activities and SLAs.
• Leads design, deployment, and management of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks; ensures scalable infrastructure and security.
