Job summary

The City of Atlanta is looking for an Information Technology Director II to lead its enterprise data and AI initiatives. You will set the AI roadmap, govern data platforms, and drive analytics that translate data into trusted insights to improve operations and passenger experience.

You will oversee a team of data engineers, architects, analysts, and AI professionals, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver strategic IT outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or engineering.
• 7+ years of leadership experience in data, analytics, AI, or IT programs.
• Strong ability to translate enterprise data/AI strategy into measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise data and AI programs to support airport business objectives.
• Oversee AI roadmaps, data platforms, governance, and analytics delivery.
• Manage cross-functional teams of data engineers, architects, and analysts.
• Ensure security, compliance, and resilience for SSI, CUI, PII, and critical data.
• Partner with operations, security, airlines, and agencies to align initiatives.
