Job summary

2020 Companies is seeking a Director of Application Development to lead an agile team building and supporting enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure and Salesforce. This hands-on leadership role oversees offshore and contract developers, owning the full SDLC from requirements through deployment.

You will work with operations, finance, and HR leadership to modernize integrations, apply AI, and drive automation across the business, reporting to the VP of IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• 3+ years leading or managing development teams.
• Experience owning the full SDLC from requirements to support.
• Proficient in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript with SQL.
• Experience deploying on Azure with CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Salesforce development experience (Apex and APIs).
• 2+ years building AI-enabled apps with LLMs.
• Daily use of AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and build of enterprise apps on Azure, APIs to UI.
• Advance Salesforce field ops app with offshore partner.
• Translate business requirements into prototypes and production.
• Code alongside team; enforce standards for CI/CD and docs.
• Produce architecture docs covering design, security, cost.
• Build AI-enabled apps to automate operations across the business.
• Lead and mentor a team including offshore/contract developers.
