Job summary

Turnkey is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead Turnkey's Product Engineering organization, covering key management, APIs, signing systems, and related infrastructure. You will report to the CTO/Co-Founder and drive both technical direction and people leadership in a high-security, crypto/web3 environment.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering managers or leading a multi-team org.
• Deep understanding of modern app architectures and security-critical systems (HSMs, TEEs, key management).
• Track record shipping security-critical or developer-facing products at scale.
• Excellence at maintaining high software quality and engineering processes during fast growth.
• Healthy amount of paranoia when building secure infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering strategy and technical vision for Turnkey's Product Engineering organization.
• Build, manage, and grow a high-performing engineering org; hire and develop managers and senior ICs.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate customer and market needs into a technical roadmap.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies in web3 and guide their integration.
• Provide architectural guidance across security-critical product systems and ensure scalability and reliability.
