Description:

The Director of Engineering will lead the development and optimization of the company’s CMS, manage GraphQL interfaces, and work closely with DevOps to optimize CDN performance for the web. This role also includes overseeing backend development, with a focus on C#-based systems, ensuring efficient and scalable service architecture. The Director will drive technical strategy for front-end (Core UI) buildout and ensure both front-end and back-end systems are optimized for speed, performance, and integration. Responsibilities include managing engineering resources, aligning technical work with business goals, and fostering collaboration across teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in management roles.
• Strong expertise in CMS platforms, GraphQL, CDN and asset optimization, and backend development (C# preferred).
• Experience with front-end development (modular design) and building scalable web interfaces.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, content delivery networks, and API management.
• Proven track record of leading teams to deliver high-performance, complex projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• This role is onsite 4 days/week in our Fulton Market office.
